Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026 · Last updated: June 1, 2026
The short version
This explains what information Syntari Systems collects when you use our apps and website, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything here is unclear, email us at privacy@syntarisystems.com and we'll explain it.
We don't sell your personal information. We collect what we need to make the apps work, and not much else.
Who this covers
This policy applies to our website at www.syntarisystems.com and to our apps: Event App, Bet Tracker, and Fleet App. Each app collects slightly different information because each does a different job — those differences are spelled out below.
What we collect
Information you give us directly. When you create an account, we collect things like your name, email address, and a password. If you contact us, we keep what you send so we can reply.
Information specific to each app:
- Event App. The events you create, the dates and places you propose, who you invite, and the responses people give. If you choose to connect your contacts or calendar, we access only what's needed to help you plan, and only with your permission. You can revoke that access at any time in your device settings.
- Bet Tracker. The wagers you log — amounts, odds, outcomes, and any notes you add. This is information you enter to track your own activity. The app does not place bets, connect to bookmakers, or process gambling transactions. We do not collect payment-card numbers or banking details for betting.
- Fleet App. Vehicle records, driver details your organization adds, maintenance and compliance dates, and — if your organization turns it on — vehicle location data. For this app, the business that signed up is usually the one deciding what gets collected; see the “Business customers” note below.
Information we collect automatically. Like most apps, we collect some technical data when you use ours: device type, operating system, app version, general location inferred from your IP address, crash reports, and how you interact with features. We use this to keep the apps running and to fix what breaks.
Cookies and similar tools. Our website uses cookies for basic functions and, if you allow it, analytics. You can decline non-essential cookies through the banner on our site or your browser settings.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- Run the apps and provide the features you signed up for
- Create and secure your account
- Send you service messages (a password reset, a change to these terms, a reply to your question)
- Diagnose problems and improve how things work
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Meet our legal obligations
We send marketing email only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe from any of it with one click.
If you're in the EU, UK, or another region with similar laws, our legal bases for processing are: performing our contract with you (running the app you asked for), your consent (for things like contacts access or marketing), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and working), and compliance with the law.
When we share it
We share personal information in a few limited situations:
- Service providers. We use other companies to host data, send email, process crash reports, and run analytics. They can only use your information to do work for us. Our current providers are listed on our Data & Compliance page.
- Within a group you choose. In Event App, the people you invite to an event see the details you share with them. That's the point of the app, but it's worth saying plainly.
- Your organization. In Fleet App, the business account that added you can see the data tied to your use of it.
- Legal reasons. We'll disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public from harm.
- A business change. If Syntari is acquired or merges, your information may transfer as part of that deal. We'll tell you if that happens and what it means.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after, so we can meet legal, accounting, or security needs. When we no longer need it, we delete it or strip out anything that identifies you. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see below).
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- See the personal information we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Delete it
- Get a copy in a portable format
- Object to or limit certain uses
- Opt out of sale or sharing (we don't sell, but you have the right regardless)
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
To use any of these, email privacy@syntarisystems.com or use the controls in your account settings. We'll respond within the timeframe the law requires (generally 30–45 days). We won't charge you or treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you're in California, this includes your rights under the CCPA/CPRA. If you're in the EU or UK, this includes your rights under the GDPR, and you can complain to your local data protection authority if you think we've got something wrong.
Children
Our apps aren't built for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
- Event App and Fleet App are not directed to anyone under [13/16].
- Bet Tracker is for adults only — you must be at least [18/21] or the legal gambling age where you live, whichever is higher.
If you believe a child has given us their information, email privacy@syntarisystems.com and we'll delete it.
Security
We protect your information with measures like encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise — but if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires. There's more detail on our Data & Compliance page.
Where your information goes
We may process and store information in [country/region]. If you're located elsewhere, your information may be transferred across borders. Where we do that, we rely on safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses to keep your rights protected.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this when our practices change. If the change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
